🎨 Art as Experience — Where Learning Meets Life

藝術作為經驗——當學習與生活相遇

In this curriculum, students are invited to rediscover art not as a product to be admired, but as an experience to be lived. Inspired by John Dewey’s philosophy of Art as Experience, the classroom becomes a studio of perception, reflection, and transformation. Students learn to connect artistic creation with everyday life — the color of morning light, the rhythm of footsteps, the texture of rain — all become sources of inspiration and inquiry.

Through sensory exploration, dialogue, and making, art is experienced as a process of feeling, thinking, and becoming. The emphasis shifts from reproducing beauty to experiencing meaning — where the act of creating becomes a way to understand oneself and the world.

在這門課程中,學生被邀請重新發現藝術,不再只是被欣賞的作品,而是一種被親身經驗的歷程。

呼應杜威(John Dewey)「藝術作為經驗」的理念,教室化為一個感知、反思與轉化的創造場域。學生學會將藝術創作與生活經驗相連結——晨光的色彩、腳步的節奏、雨水的觸感——都成為探索與啟發的素材。

透過感官體驗、討論與創作,藝術被視為一種感受、思考與成長的過程。課程焦點不在於再現美,而在於經驗意義——讓創作的行動成為理解自我與世界的方式。

  • 從經驗出發:以生活情境作為創作的起點,強調觀察與感受的累積。
    Starting from lived experience — observing, feeling, and transforming daily encounters into art.
  • 過程重於結果:鼓勵學生在創作過程中不斷實驗、修正與省思。
    Emphasizing process over product — fostering curiosity, experimentation, and reflection.
  • 藝術即學習的實踐:讓學生在創作中建構自我意義,體現學習的深層連結。
    Art as a practice of learning — connecting self, experience, and meaning through creation.
